M ú sica Oral del Sur is an international journal that focuses on research in the field of music, particularly from a cultural anthropological perspective, while linking music to other arts and contemporary forms of expression. This journal has been published since 1995, once a year, edited by the cultural and tourism departments of the Andalusian local government in Spain, as well as the Andalusian Music Documentation Center.

The International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) of the journal is 1138-8579 (print version) and 2445-0351 (electronic version), and it has a legal deposit number GR-487/95. M ú sica Oral del Sur adopts the Open Access model and has been published in this format since 2010. The journal follows the Creative Commons Creative Commons license CC BY-NC-SA, and authors reserve complete and unrestricted copyright and publishing rights.
