The Journal Of Child And Adolescent Mental Health is a multidisciplinary academic platform that provides researchers, clinicians, policy makers and mental health professionals worldwide with an opportunity to explore child and adolescent mental health issues in depth. The publication of the journal reflects a global focus on the mental health of this critical population of children and adolescents, particularly in Africa where resources may be scarce.

The journal covers not only traditional mental health issues, such as the identification, diagnosis and treatment of mental illness, but also the social determinants of mental health, including socio-economic status, education, family environment and community factors. In addition, the journal also focuses on prevention strategies for mental health, how to improve the mental resilience of children and adolescents through early intervention and psychological education.
